Real Madrid want to tempt Chelsea into selling either Eden Hazard or Thibaut Courtois by offering them James Rodriguez.
The Colombia international arrived at the Bernabeu in a huge £71million move in 2014 after his superb performances in the World Cup that year, where he won the golden boot.
However he has never fully established himself at Madrid - managing just 17 starts in La Liga last term and only four so far this season.
And now, according to reports in Spain, Real are ready to let him leave and hope his departure could help them land one of their top targets.
Madrid are keen on both Hazard and Courtois but understand that the duo are key first-team players in Antonio Conte's new-look Chelsea side.
But the Spanish giants believe the west London club might be tempted to sell one of them if it meant landing Rodriguez in a part-exchange deal.
